Al concentrates his practice of law on a broad
base of litigation and business matters that include shareholder,
distribution, product liability, construction, insurance and executive
employment issues. Al is frequently chosen as a neutral or sole
arbitrator in both personal injury and commercial disputes.
Prior to joining MacElree Harvey, Al was a founder and member of the executive committee of Gollatz, Griffin and Ewing, a regional law firm with offices most recently in Philadelphia and West Chester. Earlier in his career, Al served for four years as Assistant U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia.
Al is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Chester County Bar Associations. Al served as President of both the Chester County Bar Foundation and the Chester County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for Third Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.
In addition, Al sits on the Board of Directors of
the Chester County Hospital, the Stroud Water Research Center, and
the Philadelphia Chapter of the German-American Chamber of Commerce.
Al is a member of the American Foreign Law Association.
