Mary Ann represents individuals and families in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is licensed to practice in both states. A trained mediator, Mary Ann mediates family law matters and estate matters in both jurisdictions of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Mary Ann has been appointed by the Delaware Family Courts as a guardian ad litem representing children placed in foster care. Mary Ann also chairs the Chester County Orphans’ Court mediation committee.

Prior to joining MacElree Harvey in 2005, Mary Ann had established her own private family practice that served clients in Chester County, Pennsylvania and New Castle County, Delaware.

Recent Representations

  • Successfully defended a custody relocation matter in which court required parent to stay in jurisdiction with child. Mother requested to relocate from Delaware to New York for employment reasons. The court held mother did not prove employment was necessary in New York.
  • Represented mother reentering workforce. Father requested a vocational expert to show Mother had higher earning capacity. Court found Mother’s current job was sufficient and did not agree with vocational expert.
  • Successfully mediated an estate dispute involving the timely sale of real estate and distribution of assets to heirs.
