Law firm establishes Executive Committee to share management responsibilities
West Chester, PA, April 5, 2011 - The law firm of MacElree Harvey announced today the formation of a three-person Executive Committee that will assume responsibility for setting the strategic direction of the firm, managing day-to-day operations, and leading all marketing and client service-focused initiatives.
Mary Ann Rossi, Director and immediate past Chair of the firm's Land Use Group, will serve as Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Rossi will lead the strategic planning process and oversee its implementation. In addition, she will be actively involved with attorney development and hiring and will manage external relationships with both the general and legal communities of Chester County and the five county suburban Philadelphia area and the State of Delaware.
Duke Schneider, Director and member of the Estates and Business departments, will serve as Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm.
Tim Rayne, Director and member of the Litigation department, will serve as Chief Marketing Officer and will spearhead all marketing, special projects and client service focused initiatives.
The new structure replaces a Managing Partner business model. From 2001 until 2011 Lance Nelson, Director and member of the Litigation department, has served as Managing Partner. The new structure will spread key responsibilities across more individuals and expand the leadership of the firm. Ms. Rossi notes: "Lance's contribution to the firm has been significant. His vision and management style have helped the firm during difficult economic times. We are all grateful to Lance for his commitment to the firm."
