Stimulus Act Contains Provisions that Increase the Availability
of Tax Exempt Financing
On February 17, 2009, President
Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
of 2009 (the "Act"). The Act is a comprehensive effort to stimulate
our country's economy by directing spending and tax savings to
various sectors. Because of several significant revisions to the
Internal Revenue Code, increased tax-exempt financing is now available
to qualified borrowers and projects.
