2008 appointments include non-profit and business organizations.

MacElree Harvey attorneys and staff members are involved in more than 50 non-profit, professional, or business organizations across the region. Firm members are encouraged to support their personal causes and to enrich their professional knowledge through active participation. The attorneys listed below will be assuming new leadership roles for 2008:

Lance J. Nelson, Managing Partner, has been elected President of the West Chester Downtown Foundation and Treasurer of the Chester County Bar Association. Both responsibilities will keep Lance and his fellow directors focused on supporting local businesses and residents by creating initiatives aimed at economic growth, community enhancement, and quality services.

Michael A. Friedberg, Attorney, has been voted President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Wilmington, Delaware. Mike will serve as President for the 2009-2010 term. Actively involved with the Rotary for twenty-eight years, Mike has recently served as Treasurer and Chair of the International Services Committee.

A. Duie Latta, Attorney, has been named President of West Chester University's Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center. The newly formed Board will work to increase awareness of the services available for children with autism and to help raise funds to expand the scope of services offered.

John F. McKenna, Attorney, has been elected President of the Chester County Art Association. John has been involved with the organization for over seven years and most recently served as Vice President. John will lead the organization as it continues to meet the growing request for art education and exhibition.

Louis N. Teti, Attorney, has been appointed Chair of the Development Committee of Malvern Preparatory School's Board of Trustees. The school is entering the final phase of a $14 million capital campaign, earmarked for new buildings and improvements. Lou has been on the Board of the school since 2006 and is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as Treasurer of the school's Father's Club.
