The Chester County Bar Association has appointed MacElree Harvey Managing Partner Lance J. Nelson as Treasurer for 2008. Nelson has been active with the Bar for more than 15 years and has served as committee chair, member and most recently as Secretary.

The Chester County Bar Association provides public services, such as lawyer referrals, to the residents of Chester County and offers legal assistance at little or no cost for those who are not eligible for pro-bono programs, but unable to afford proper representation. The organization also provides resources for area attorneys in the form of events, newsletters and education sessions.

In addition to his role with the Bar Association,, Nelson serves as President of the West Chester Downtown Foundation, and is a member of the West Chester Business Improvement District, the West Chester University Presidential Scholarship Gala Steering Committee, and the Chester County Community Foundation.
