Experienced Attorney Jane M. Shields Joins Staff of MacElree Harvey.
Jane M. Shields, an attorney with extensive experience in local, State and Federal courts, has joined the staff of MacElree Harvey.

"Jane brings a wealth of experience, including Federal court litigation, to the firm," said Lance J. Nelson, Managing Partner of MacElree Harvey. "She is a valuable addition to our team."

Shields, who is a Wallace Township Supervisor and a former partner in the West Chester firm of Frock & Shields, has worked for several Chester County law firms and the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County, served as Solicitor for the Chester County District Justices, and was a law clerk to former Judge Robert S. Gawthrop, III. Her experience also includes the Chester County Public Defender's Office.

She is a graduate of Purdue University and Temple University School of Law. Her bar admissions include the United States Supreme Court, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

She has been active in professional and community endeavors, including serving on the Chester County Court Computerization Committee and the Chester County Courthouse Space Committee. Shields has served on a number of Chester County Bar Association committees and is a Chester County Bar Foundation Fellow.

Besides being a Wallace Township Supervisor, Shields has volunteered time for the Downingtown Area Senior Center, Inc., Immaculata College, the Library Board of Easttown Township, the West Chester Women's Resource Center and the West Chester YWCA. She has also been active in the Republican Committee of Chester County.
