Attorney Alexander Chotkowski Joins MacElree Harvey Law Firm.
Major Chotkowski is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

Chotkowski will practice in the areas of civil and commercial litigation at MacElree Harvey. "MacElree Harvey is a leader in the practice of law," Chotkowski said. "I'm looking forward to serving the legal needs of our clients and working with the professionals on the staff."

A native of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Chotkowski earned his BA at Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, PA, and his law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH. He resides in West Chester, PA with his wife, Kimberly S. Chotkowski, Esq., and daughter, Emily Alexandra.

Chotkowski is an active member of the Bar Associations of Connecticut and Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, United States District Courts for Connecticut and Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and United States Supreme Court. He has been a member of the Chester County Bar Association since 2002.

Chotkowski received a commission from the United States Marines in August 1994, after completing Officer Candidate School. He completed Naval Justice School in Newport, RI, and was certified as a Marine Judge Advocate on October 1, 1997. His first tour of duty was performed at the Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC. There he served as the Chief Military Prosecutor and Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina. Chotkowski was promoted to his current rank of Major on March 1, 2004.

After completion of his active duty obligations in August 2000, Chotkowski entered into civil litigation with a Hartford, CT law firm and then joined a Chester Springs practice.

In June 2004, Chotkowski was activated and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
