James Urie Joins Staff of MacElree Harvey from the Office of Chief Counsel of the IRS.
James Urie joined the staff of MacElree Harvey after completing a stint with the Office of Chief Counsel of the IRS in Philadelphia.

"James brings valuable experience, especially in the tax law arena," said Lance J. Nelson, Managing Partner of MacElree Harvey. "He is a valuable addition to our team and we're glad to have him join our firm."

Urie is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Law with an LL.M. in Taxation and the Widener University School of Law. His undergraduate degree is from Temple University.

For three years Urie was a special assistant United States Attorney/Tax Attorney for the IRS. He also handled bankruptcy litigation and tried cases. Urie has prior experience with a Philadelphia law firm.

"I'm looking forward to practicing in the private sector, especially with MacElree Harvey," Urie said. "MacElree Harvey has an excellent reputation."

He lives in Glen Mills with his wife and son and likes to scuba dive, sail and fish in his spare time.
