Attorney led humanitarian effort in Burma

MacElree Harvey attorney Alexander Chotkowski was recently awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal in recognition of his participation and leadership in the May 2008 U.S. military humanitarian assistance effort in Burma named Operation Caring Response. Cyclone Nargis caused extensive damage to the region and the U.S. military initiated a mission that sent in troops to help deliver aid to the residents. Alex holds the rank of Major with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and served as logistics officer and was a member of the planning team that coordinated the purchase, distribution, and supply of life saving relief items.
