Will highlight "Top Sixteen Misconceptions in Estate Planning"

MacElree Harvey attorney Louis N. Teti will participate as a speaker at the Annual Planned Giving Day Conference of the Planned Giving Council of Greater Philadelphia being held October 15th at the Union League in Philadelphia.

Lou will present a countdown of the "Top Sixteen Misconceptions in Estate Planning," a dynamic discussion of the myths and falsehoods which abound surrounding wills, insurance and IRA beneficiary designations, prenuptial agreements, powers of attorney and other related estate planning topics. Lou, a past President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and a past Chair of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, is a frequent lecturer and most recently spoke to his fellow Chester County attorneys at the annual Bench Bar Conference on the "Ins and Outs of Representation," a presentation which he co-delivered with Patti Bednarik, an attorney with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his speaking engagements, Lou is a past President of the Chester County Bar Association, Vice President of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, and is the recipient of two PBA Special Achievement Awards for his work as Chairman of the PBA Long Range Planning Committees.

Lou is very involved in the local community, currently serving as Chair of the Chester County Community Foundation and Chair of the Board of the Foundation at Paoli Hospital. He is on the Board of Trustees of Malvern Preparatory School where he serves as Chair of the Development Committee, and he is also President of the Malvern Prep Fathers' Club.
