MacElree Harvey attorney tapped for 24-member commission for gender, racial and ethnic fairness.

MacElree Harvey attorney Leonard J. Rivera LL.M. was nominated by State Senator Dominic Pileggi to the state of Pennsylvania's Interbranch Commission. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the governor and the legislature appoint, in equal portions, the Interbranch Commission's 24 members. The Commission, formed in 2005, promotes equal application of the law for all citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by raising awareness with the public and professionals on the impact of race, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation and disability on the fair delivery of justice.

For 18 years Lenny has represented clients who historically are underserved and who have not always enjoyed cultural advocacy during their proceedings. "My nomination by Senator Pileggi and subsequent appointment by Senate President Pro Tempore Joseph Scarnati, III, further my personal interest in and accountability for securing fairness, equitable representation and visibility to the residents of Chester County, including the many Latino businessmen and workers in our community," Lenny explains.

Lenny currently serves on the Boards of La Communidad Hispana and the Chester County Republican Executive Committee. He is a member of Longwood Rotary and Westminster Presbyterian Church Education Department, leads the Chester County Latino Luncheon series and Coalition, and coaches children in the Southern Chester County Soccer Association League. Lenny is licensed to try cases before the US Supreme Court, was named a Top 100 Attorney in Main Line Today, and has his LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University, J.D. from Dickinson School of Law and B.A. from Ursinus College.
