Attorneys Brendan P. Burke, Brian L. Nagle and James B. Urie, all with the Chester County law firm of MacElree Harvey, were recently named "Rising Stars" by Super Lawyers magazine. The list of the best, up-and-coming attorneys appears in the magazine's November 2008 issue. The list of Philadelphia area "Rising Stars" also appears in the December 2008 issue of Philadelphia magazine.

Brendan and Brian were both selected for their practice of land use and zoning law. Jim's tax law practice earned him the award. MacElree Harvey's Managing Partner, Lance J. Nelson, comments on the work of the attorneys, "Brendan, Brian and Jim have been instrumental in the growth of our land use and business law departments. Repeatedly, their depth of knowledge and detailed attention to client situations has been noted by their peers, the firm's directors and our clients."

Eligibility for the award is limited to attorneys 40 years old and younger who have practiced law for at least 10 years. The selection process involved nominations submitted by Pennsylvania attorneys, with more credit given for nominations from outside the nominee's firm than from within. Only 2.5% of the attorneys in Pennsylvania are named Rising Stars.
