Achieving positive results for clients in troubled
times
The opportunity to use his skills to help people through
challenging transitions drives Timothy F. Rayne's commitment to the practice
of law in two specialties-personal injury and family law.
Tim specializes in civil litigation, focusing primarily on all types of
personal injury matters and family law (divorce, support and custody cases).
"I find personal injury and family law particularly satisfying because
I am able to help my clients through very emotional and often painful
times in their lives," he says. "It's rewarding to be able to
help vulnerable clients achieve a positive result so that they can move
on."
After graduating with honors from the University of Delaware and the Widener
University School of Law, where he earned several different academic awards,
Tim went on to write more than 20 publications discussing family law,
personal injury and civil litigation. His experience with these types
of cases has helped him master the legal issues involved and understand
how they affect his clients as people.
"The greatest challenge in family law cases is helping the client
see through all of the hurt and anger in order to work towards a realistic
settlement or litigation strategy," Tim says. "The challenge
in personal injury cases is being able to tell my client's story in a
way the jury can get a clear picture of how the accident happened and
how it has impacted my client's life."
Tim practices in MacElree Harvey's Kennett Square office, and is active
with the Kennett at Longwood Rotary and other local organizations, including
the Kennett Run and the Kennett Symphony. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania
and Chester County Bar Associations and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers
Association.
In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys
coaching YMCA sports teams and playing golf.
