J. Christopher Erb, Esquire, Joins MacElree Harvey, Ltd.
New Partner Brings Experience in International Law to the Firm’s Business Department
MacElree Harvey, Ltd. is pleased to welcome J. Christopher Erb, Esquire, as a Partner in the firm’s continually growing Business Department. Chris brings with him nearly 25 years of experience practicing law, advising small and mid-sized international and domestic business clients on all aspects of international and domestic commercial law.
“We are excited to work with Chris in expanding our International Business practice, as well as utilizing his extensive knowledge of computer, internet, and privacy/data security law,” said Michelle Foster, MacElree Harvey’s CEO. “His experience in these areas expands our firm’s capabilities and will strengthen our reputation within the business community, both internationally and domestically.”
Prior to joining MacElree Harvey, Chris was a managing shareholder of The Erb Law Firm PC, focusing on European (primarily German) internet, e-commerce, and information technology companies. He has taught courses in Business Immigration and Advising the Global Corporation at Temple University. Prior to founding The Erb Law Firm PC, Chris practiced at Reed Smith LLP and Dechert LLP.
A member of the International Associations of Privacy Professionals, the American Bar Association International Section, Warwick Legal Network, and the German American Chamber of Commerce of Philadelphia, where he is on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, Chris remains active in community organizations. He earned his J.D. from Temple University, and he has completed additional coursework in Central European Law at The Law School at Charles University in Prague; Graduate Tax coursework at Temple University; and Graduate coursework in International Law at Georgetown University Law School.
