John M. Spadaro

John M. Spadaro is an Associate in MacElree Harvey’s Personal Injury Practice Group and Litigation Department.
Before joining MacElree Harvey, John clerked for a personal injury and commercial litigation practice in Delaware.
During law school, John served as the president of the Villanova Chapter of the American Constitution Society, a legal policy and advocacy organization with over 200 chapters nationwide. John likewise competed in the 62nd Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, a nationally recognized oral advocacy and legal writing competition.
Prior to law school, John studied philosophy at Fordham University.

Notable Representations
- Represented tenant in a case where landlord wrongfully withheld security deposit. Tried the case before an arbitration panel and recovered double damages under Landlord Tenant Act as well as treble damages and attorneys’ fees under Unfair Trade Practices statute.
- Represented plaintiff in property damage case following car accident and secured policy limits settlement.
- Represented tenant facing eviction. Tried the case and secured a judgment for the defendant-tenant, defeating the eviction.
- Represented landlord in a case where tenant accused landlord of breaching warranty of habitability. Matter resolved after commencement of litigation for small fraction of the alleged value.
